Josh Hamilton took No. 30 deep in the first inning and Marlon Byrd drilled a two-run blast as the Rangers successfully fended off a sweep by the Angels. Kevin Millwood settled for 6 2/3 innings of two-run ball, and Ron Washington became the second manager to get an early shower on a hot afternoon in the seventh inning.
