Estes hit hard
Photos
Dodgers 7, Padres 2
Shawn Estes fell to 2-2 after being saddled with the defeat. (Denis Poroy/AP)
It appeared the Padres would get the best of Dodgers starter Derek Lowe after putting up a first-inning run, but the offense mustered little else. Starter Shawn Estes wasn't terrible, but was ultimately felled by a pair of taters and an inability to get the big out when he needed it most.
