Indians 12, Twins 9
Francisco Liriano discusses his rough outing with catcher Joe Mauer. (Tony Dejak/AP)
They managed to keep ineffective starter Francisco Liriano unblemished since his recall, but the Twins could not convert on the comeback effort, falling 2 1/2 games behind the White Sox. The ace earned a no-decision after the Twins rallied from a seven-run hole, but closer Joe Nathan surrendered a walk-off homer in extras.
