Thrown back into the O's rotation in place of the injured Daniel Cabrera, Brian Burres kept the Yankees off balance for seven shutout innings, allowing three hits, before New York rallied for a walk-off win in the bottom of the ninth. Brian Roberts hit his 51st double of the year.
