Focused on winning the AL East, the Rays moved closer in Game 1 of a twin bill, rallying after James Shields gave up a two-run homer. Fernando Perez had three hits and two RBIs and Jason Bartlett drove in the go-ahead run as Shields matched the team record for wins in a season.
