Chris Carpenter kicked off his 2009 season in pursuit of the first no-hitter at the new Busch Stadium, but a hit in the seventh spelled the end of his dazzling bid. His outing was not for naught, however, as Yadier Molina and Brian Barden plated RBIs to lift the Cards to victory.
