After getting on the board with an RBI double from Chris Getz and an RBI groundout from Josh Fields, the White Sox jumped ahead in the sixth behind homers from Carlos Quentin and Jermaine Dye. However, reliever Matt Thornton gave up a decisive grand slam in the sixth and the Rays were able to make it stand.
