Matt Garza struck out six over seven solid innings, but left with the finale against the Red Sox tied. After the bullpen allowed the go-ahead run to score in the eighth, the Rays put runners on the corners with nobody out in the ninth, but Carlos Pena, B.J. Upton and Carl Crawford all whiffed.
