James Shields turned in a performance worthy of his nickname, "Big Game," tossing 8 1/3 scoreless innings. At one point, Shields retired 17 hitters in a row. But that was all a distant memory by the 11th inning, when Matt Holliday crushed a Joe Nelson pitch into the seats.
