Eric Byrnes broke his hand when he was hit with a pitch in the second inning, putting extra sting into a 12-inning loss in the Interleague series finale. Mark Reynolds' second homer of the game, a two-run shot in the eighth, provided extra innings, but the bullpen ran out of gas down the stretch.
