Giants 4, Pirates 3
Pablo Sandoval (left) and Bengie Molina celebrate after scoring on Nate Schierholtz's double. (AP)
Matt Cain was excellent, making only one mistake, giving up a home run to Brandon Moss. The Giants' offense was quiet through the first five innings against Zach Duke, who replaced Cain on the All-Star team, but it broke out for four runs in the sixth inning, a frame that opened with four straight doubles.
