Joey Votto was ejected after arguing a called third strike in his first at-bat, and it must have sparked his teammates. Brandon Phillips launched a three-run home run in the very next at-bat, and Jonny Gomes (two blasts) and Edwin Encarnacion each went deep to support a strong Homer Bailey.
