Matt Cain cruised through five innings, allowing just a solo homer, but a two-run shot in the sixth put the Giants behind after they were unable to capitalize on a prime scoring chance earlier in the inning. Pablo Sandoval doubled home a run in the ninth, but it wasn't enough.
