Indians 5, Rangers 0
Dustin Nippert took the loss as the Rangers missed a chance to keep pressure on the Halos. (AP)
By T.R. Sullivan / MLB.com
Dustin Nippert, taking Vicente Padilla's spot in the rotation, was on the ropes in the third, where he allowed five runs. Nippert settled in to last six innings and strike out a career-high 10, but the damage was done. Texas never countered against the Indians' Aaron Laffey.
