The Mets dropped Monday's series finale with the Giants after starter Livan Hernandez allowed six runs on 11 hits in 5 2/3 innings and the bullpen struggled. The Mets' offense couldn't get much done off San Francisco pitching, with Gary Sheffield's single plating the only run.
