Liriano falters
Photos
Rangers 8, Twins 5
Joe Mauer's 23rd homer of the season gave the Twins a brief lead. (Tony Gutierrez/AP)
After a promising start against the Royals, Francisco Liriano wasn't able to build on it. Liriano was gone after two innings and seven earned runs, and the Twins didn't bounce back -- though Bobby Keppel threw 3 1/3 innings of scoreless relief. Justin Morneau left with dizziness, but Joe Mauer homered among three hits.
