Tommy Hunter was shaky early, but the Rangers broke out their bats early against Francisco Liriano ln building their Wild Card lead to one game, scoring seven runs over the first two innings. Marlon Byrd drove in three and David Murphy deliverd two, and Hunter settled in before leaving in the sixth with a five-run advantage.
