The Rangers gave Kevin Millwood a three-run cushion on Marlon Byrd's RBI double and David Murphy's two-run homer in the first, but the veteran couldn't protect the lead as his road woes continued. Despite the loss, Texas remained two back in the Wild Card as Boston also lost.
