The A's let Trevor Cahill exceed his targeted pitch count of 80 and run it up to 96, but they exercised caution with their rookie and took him out despite the one-hit shutout he held through seven. The bullpen finished the job, however, as Oakland wrapped up a three-game sweep in Texas.
