The Twins received brilliant work from rookie Brian Duensing and a two-run homer from Michael Cuddyer as they pared the Tigers' advantage in the AL Central to just three games. Duensing allowed just four hits, two of them in the seventh inning, over 6 1/3 shutout frames. Jason Kubel had two hits and scored twice.
