Ken Griffey Jr. hit a three-run shot in the second as the Mariners put the finale away early and sent the Yankees out of town still needing one more win to clinch a berth in the postseason. Ian Snell avenged an Aug. 13 thumping by the Bombers with 5 1/3 solid innings for the win.
