Needing a win in the series finale to avoid the sweep and keep the Twins from getting within one game in the AL Central, the Tigers received five gritty innings from Nate Robertson and a three-run rally of their own in the fifth. Placido Polanco delievered the go-ahead two-run single. Zach Miner was solid in relief.
