Kurt and Renee Suzuki, along with the Oakland A's, will host Kidney Disease Awareness Day on Friday, June 15 to benefit the newly created "Kurt Suzuki Family Foundation." The Suzukis set up the foundation because of their personal connection to kidney disease, as Kurt's father is a kidney cancer survivor and Renee's sister suffers from FSGS (focal segmental glomerulosclerosis). Kurt will host a group of children before the game and autographed items will be sold during the game. Additionally, $5 from each Field Level ticket purchased via a special online link will benefit the Kurt Suzuki Family Foundation.
