A's slated to retire Henderson's number

Oakland announced Thursday that it will pay tribute to Henderson -- the hometown hero and all-time leader in runs scored and stolen bases -- when it retires his No. 24 jersey during pregame ceremonies on Saturday, Aug. 1.
