The Phillies are gearing up for an exciting 2013 season but they are also gearing up for an exciting end to the school year with their annual educational supplement created in conjunction with the Newspapers in Education Department of The Philadelphia Inquirer.
This year's supplement the "PHUNdamentals of Learning" will feature a look at all the PHUN that can happen at Citizens Bank Park, from selecting your seats to keeping score at the game you will find that baseball touches all the educational bases.
The Phillies and The Inquirer are holding a FREE TEACHER WORKSHOP at Citizens Bank Park on Monday, April 15 at 4:30 p.m. to offer teachers further information and tips on how to incorporate "PHUNdamentals of Learning" into the classroom in an effective and creative way.
You must register for the Workshop in order to participate and to receive the supplement. For more information, email fandev@phillies.com no later than Monday, April 1.
The Phillies and The Inquirer love to work together to create educational lessons that teachers can use in their classroom but we know you may have some great ideas we may not have thought of. We invite you to share with us some of the lessons that you have created that utilize the Phillies and The Inquirer. If you are attending the Workshop on April 15 you could be asked to share your innovative lesson with the other teachers in attendance.
