For 15 years, The Phillies have been providing area educators with an in-depth educational booklet that uses baseball to teach and reinforce student knowledge in a variety of academic subjects. The 2015 Phil-Up with Knowledge Educational Booklet adheres to core standards and will be available beginning on March 31, 2015.
The 16-page 2015 Phil-Up with Knowledge Booklet will examine the history of Phillies' baseball, introduce students to the diverse background of Phillies' players, happenings at the ballpark and much more!
The 2015 Phillies educational booklet Phil-Up with Knowledge is now available to educators and students! The booklet explores a myriad of academic subjects while adhering to the Common Core Standards.
You can still receive the printed version of Phil-Up with Knowledge that can be utilized in your classroom. Booklets will be mailed out within a week of your order request.
On Tuesday, March 31, 2015 The Phillies hosted their annual Teacher Workshop to share with teachers how to incorporate Phil-Up with Knowledge into their classroom.
During the Workshop, five teachers shared Phillies' based lesson plans selected from their Lesson Plan Contest entries. See Lesson Plan Contest tab for the winning submissions.
The Phillies held a Lesson Plan Contest asking area educators to share their Phillies themed lesson plans. Grand Prize Winner Christina Beri and Honorable Mentions Diana Haas, Linda Hagarty, Dayna Silver and Monica Marino shared their plans at the Phillies annual Teacher Workshop held this year on March 31.
