At Bat in our Community

"Step Up to the Plate" Supplement

The buzz and excitement have already begun as the Phillies prepare for the 2012 baseball season. The Phillies and The Philadelphia Inquirer's Newspapers in Education Department have teamed up to create an interactive and unique supplement to start the season off with a home run.

"Step Up to the Plate" will focus on some of your most beloved Phillies giving back to the community and ways you too can make an impact. "Step Up to the Plate" will focus on how some of your favorite Phillies give back to the community and ways you too can make an impact. "Step Up to the Plate" will help students better understand the power of giving and community outreach while also encouraging them to make a difference in their community.

In addition to these life lessons, this supplement also engages students with educational and thought provoking activities and information pertaining to the Phillies.
