For more than a decade the Phillies have been providing area educators with an in-depth educational booklet that uses baseball to teach a variety of academic subjects. This year's HOMEWork It Out booklet will take the learning up a notch as we look forward to the 2014 season and celebrate ten years at Citizens Bank Park!
We are excited that this year's 16-page booklet will be available as an e-book thus giving educators and students the opportunity to interact with the piece. The e-booklet will release on Thursday, April 3 and teachers and students will easily be able to print out the piece to use in their classroom.
Additionally, we do have the ability to provide print editions to the classrooms who request them. Please note that you may not receive the printed version by April 3 but it will come shortly thereafter.
We will be taking registrations for the HOMEWork It Out e-book through Monday, March 31.
We will be holding a FREE TEACHER WORKSHOP at Citizens Bank Park on Thursday, April 3 at 4:30 p.m. to offer teachers further information and tips on how to incorporate the HOMEWork It Out into the classroom in an effective and creative way.
You must register for the Workshop in order to participate and to receive the supplement. Registrations will be accepted until the Workshop is full. There is a lot of interest in the Workshop so make sure to register early!
If you have questions about the HOMEWork It Out e-booklet and workshop please e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org.
The Phillies love to create educational lessons that teachers can use in their classroom but we know you may have some great ideas we may not have thought of. We invite you to share with us some of the lessons that you have created that utilize the Phillies and the overall theme of baseball.
If you are attending the Workshop on April 3 you could be asked to share your innovative lesson with the other teachers in attendance.
