Event Highlights

• Enjoy lunch in the Diamond Club, photos with the 1980 and 2008 World Series trophies, a silent auction, an optional tour of Citizens Bank Park and more. The event also includes a special appearance by the Phillie Phanatic and Scott Palmer, Phillies Director of Public Affairs, will emcee.
• Attendees will also receive a buy one, get one free ticket offer for a Phillies vs. Diamondbacks game, good for either Friday, August 23 at 7:05 p.m. or Saturday, August 24 at 7:05 p.m.
• The event takes place during Alumni Weekend festivities (August 1-4), and is a continuation of the team's tribute to its former players on phillies.com/alumni.

Speaker Bios

Jim Fregosi

Selected as the Associated Press Manager of the Year after guiding the Phillies to the 1993 National League pennant. Phillies were the third team in baseball history to go from last place in 1992, his first full season as their manager, to pennant-winners. Except for April 9, his Phillies spent the entire season in first place.

Lee Thomas

Architect of the 1993 Phillies who was named Major League Baseball Executive of the Year following the exciting season. With only four home-grown players, he built the championship team around trades and free agency. All pitchers on the postseason roster were acquired via trades except for Larry Andersen.

Darren Daulton

Regarded as the leader of the team both in the clubhouse and on the field. An iron man behind the plate, "Dutch" started 143 of the 162 regular season games. Led the club in RBI for the straight season and shared the team high in home runs. Originally a 25th round selection by the Phillies in 1990.

Larry Andersen

At 41 years of age, "LA" was the senior citizen on the 1993 club. Missed nearly a month on the disabled list but still wound up relieving in 64 games, striking out 67 in 61.2 innings. His only save came in Game 5 of the League Championship Series against Atlanta. Only player to be on both the 1983 and 1993 NL champions.

Jim Eisenreich

Signed as a free agent on January 19, 1993, "Eisey" began the season as the fifth outfielder before working his way into a platoon with Wes Chamberlain in right field. Hit .318 in 153 games, both career highs. Became one of the many fan favorites on the club. Drove in seven runs during the World Series.

Tommy Greene

A former first-round selection by Atlanta, Tommy was acquired from the Braves along with Dale Murphy during the 1990 season. Started 1993 season 8-0, the best start for a Phillies pitcher in 12 years. Finished with his best season ever, 16-4, with 11 wins coming before the All-Star Game.
