The 5th Annual Pirates Charities Spring Training Golf Classic took place on Thursday, March 1, 2012 at Bradenton Country Club in Bradenton, Florida.
Over 80 participants joined Pirates celebrities including current players Neil Walker, Kevin Correia, Joel Hanrahan and James McDonald, former Pirates greats Manny Sanguillen, Steve Blass and Bill Mazeroski, and current Pirates broadcast team members and front office executives.
The proceeds from the Spring Training Golf Classic benefited the Fields for Kids Bradenton program, which provides matching grants to help make improvements to youth recreational facilities in the Bradenton region. Proceeds also went to support the Miracle League of Manasota, a specially designed baseball field that is accessible for children with special needs.
