Hello Fans,

Yesterday, I went to visit my team while they were in Los Angeles to play the Dodgers. It's been a few weeks since I've been with the team, so it was good to be in the clubhouse again. I spoke to a few reporters before the game to let them know about my progress. But, like I have been reporting here on my Web site, there hasn't been much change in my condition. My rehab is coming along and I still don't have a timetable for my return to the team. If I'm ready in September and the Giants want me to play, I'll play. It is all up to the doctors and when they say I can come back. However, when I do come back, I'll be at the level that I'm used to playing.

Even though I haven't started to run or do any baseball activity, there are little things that indicate progress is being made. For example, not feeling so much soreness after doing my strengthening exercises. Today was one of those days where all the signs are pointing in the right direction for a late-season comeback. If I can stay on this pace for a few weeks, then I will start running and doing baseball-related activities. So many e-mails have come in asking me about my knee. Thanks for all of your support and words of encouragement.

For you dads out there, today was my "Father and Daughter Day." My oldest daughter, Shikari, came with me to rehab. It was nice having her come to work with me, but boy, what's with this Sidekick thing? Have you seen how fast they type on them?

I have been trying to get to all the questions that have been e-mailed to me. Here are a few from my fans:

Q. How long have you choked up on your bat? -- Scott Sabol
A. As long as I can remember, I have been choking up on my bat.

Q. Is there one memory that stands out of watching your father playing baseball? -- JJ Goodrich
A. Yes, I'll never forget when my dad and Willie collided in center field.

Q. When you're in a visitor's stadium, do the boos get to you? Or do you ignore them? -- Keith Smith
A. I love it! There is nothing better than walking out and hitting a home run. Those boos really motivate me to make something happen.

Q. What are your plans after baseball? -- Phillip White
A. Staying out of the press... hahaha. I will really enjoy being able to spend time with my family -- taking my kids to school and seeing them on a daily basis. It's hard when you are on the road six months out of the year.

Q. How does it feel every time you get walked? -- SilasChu
A. Sometimes the walks are frustrating, but it's all part of the game and I try to make something else happen -- steal a base, score.
