Verlander's career stats »

Justin Verlander is in his seventh full season at the Major League level as a right-handed pitcher with the Detroit Tigers.

He was selected as the American League Most Valuable Player and he was unanimously named the American League Cy Young Award winner in 2011, becoming the 10th pitcher in Major League history to win both awards in the same season.

Additionally, Verlander was selected as the American League Rookie of the Year in 2006, and he is only the second player in big league history to win the Most Valuable Player, Cy Young and Rookie of the Year awards.

A four-time All-Star with the Tigers, Verlander has tossed two no-hitters for the club (June 12, 2007 vs. Milwaukee and May 7, 2011 at Toronto).

Verlander is an active participant in community initiatives, including the creation of Verlander's Victory for Veterans.
