'Art of Fashion' showcase a success

Event raises close to $10,000 for Wood Family Foundation

Sarah Wood knows how to start the day off right: with a little food, friends and fashion. On Thursday, May 3, Wood joined Kirstie Lytwynec, vice president of Neiman Marcus Northbrook, in co-hosting the "Art of Fashion" breakfast and fashion show with a special guest, jewelry designer Lana Bramlette. All ticket sales benefitted the Wood Family Foundation.

The event began with a sit-down breakfast in the The Zodiac Restaurant, where Wood introduced the Foundation, its mission and why she and husband Kerry are so dedicated to raising money for the children in the Chicagoland area. While everyone dined on delicious frittata and fruit and mingled with one another, fun prizes were raffled off, including tickets to a Cubs game, an autographed photo, jersey and baseball by Kerry, and Lana jewelry.

Following breakfast, guests were led to the upper floor for the "Art of Fashion" showcase. Models walked the runway in designs from Oscar de la Renta, Akris, Brunello Cucinelli, Gucci, Fendi, Etro, Michael Kors, Burberry, Giorgio Armani, Lela Rose, Stella McCarthy and Dolce & Gabbana. After the show, Bramlette, whose pieces have been worn by celebrities such as Cameron Diaz, Kate Hudson, Chelsea Handler, Rihanna and Eva Longoria, welcomed guests to the jewelry counter to try on some of her latest styles in necklaces and earrings.

Those in attendance included Cubs wives and Neiman Marcus Northbrook customers. The "Art of Fashion" raised approximately $10,000 for the Wood Family Foundation.
