Chicago hospital names playroom in WFF's honor
Woods on hand at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital
On Friday, May 4, the Wood Family Foundation was recognized for a $1 million contribution to the "Heroes for Life" campaign. It was also announced that a playroom on the oncology floor in the new Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago, which is scheduled to open June 9, 2012, in downtown Chicago, will be named after the WFF.
Kerry and Sarah hosted a private cocktail reception to celebrate the new room which features a toy kitchen, a Thomas the Tank Engine set, puzzles, toys, games and a mural by Natalie Gerny. Children's Memorial Foundation President Tom Sullivan welcomed everyone and unveiled the Wood Family Foundation placard outside the door just before Kerry and Sarah cut the official ribbon.
