Harry Caray's to host Wood meet-and-greet
Proceeds to benefit Wood Family Foundation

Harry Caray's Italian Steakhouse is hosting a Wood Family Foundation Night featuring Chicago Cubs pitcher Kerry Wood on Sept. 1 from 7-9 p.m.
Cubs fans are invited to Harry's to meet Kerry and help raise money for his charity, which is dedicated to improving the lives of children. Tickets are $50 per person and will be available for purchase upon arrival. Tickets will guarantee guests a Kerry Wood-autographed Wood Family Foundation baseball, the opportunity for Kerry to autograph one personal item as well as a drink ticket (valid for a Budweiser or Pepsi product or a glass of house wine). Wood jerseys, photos and baseballs will be available for purchase at Harry Caray's the night of the event.
Other activities will include a Cubs autographed ball raffle ($40 each), Kerry Wood drink specials and Kerry will get behind the bar to work for tips (as schedule permits). All proceeds will benefit the Wood Family Foundation, which is dedicated to improving the lives of Chicago's kids.
The event is open to the public. For more information, visit HarryCarays.com or call 312.828.0966.
About the Wood Family Foundation: The Wood Family Foundation is dedicated to improving the lives of children in and around Chicago by raising funds and awareness for children's charities and the causes they support. It raises funds through events, sponsorships and donations. The Foundation is committed to working toward funding both immediate and long-term relief projects for various children's issues. Two of the Foundation's largest initial efforts will involve funding a playroom for the children receiving treatment for cancer at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago and teaming up with the Chicago Cubs to help build a high school baseball field for students in an underserved area. Other planned Foundation projects include providing school supplies and clothing for children in need. The Foundation will sponsor various "drives" to encourage donations such as school supplies, clothing, and toys for children and children's charities which the Foundation supports in and around Chicago.
