Woods receive Daily Point of Light Award

Wood Family Foundation garners founders community award

On Sept. 24, 2013, Wood Family Foundation founders Kerry and Sarah Wood were recipients of the Daily Point of Light Award. The Daily Point of Light Award honors those who take action to create change in their communities. The event is part of the One America Campaign, whose purpose is to inspire Americans to unite in volunteerism and service in their communities. Kerry and Sarah were flattered to receive this award and appreciate the support of the Points of Light Foundation, JP Morgan Chase and Chicago Cares. Big thanks to Glenn Tilton for hosting such an inspiring panel of speakers. There is nothing more motivating than watching four different foundations strive to help Chicago's youth while planting the seeds for change.

"Kerry and I are honored to be selected as the Daily Point of Light Award recipients. It is quite humbling to be listed among past recipients. We are thankful for the honor and look forward to discussing our city's children," said Sarah.
