The San Diego Padres and Padres Foundation are committed to inspiring San Diegos youth to Live, Learn and Play and support charitable organizations throughout the San Diego region through our Charity Ticket Program, Charity Fundraising Program and many other programs. In 2012, we will continue to partner with Major League Baseball's "Commissioner's Community Initiative" and MLB Players Give Back to donate complimentary tickets to deserving non-profit organizations who serve children within the Padres focus of LIVE (childrens health), LEARN (education) and PLAY (recreation). Rarely does a day go by when at least one member of the Padres family - including front office executives and staff, coaches, players, alumni and the Swinging Friar mascot and Pad Squad - cannot be found reaching out to fans somewhere in the San Diego/Baja region.
The San Diego Padres are committed to reaching out and connecting with our community. Padres executives, alumni, broadcasters and employees make hundreds of appearances each year. We are proud to enhance the events of civic organizations, charitable groups and community events by providing speakers or club representatives who are eager to share the excitement of Padres baseball. Your event or meeting could include front office members, broadcasters, the Pad Squad or even the Swinging Friar.

The Padres pride and involvement in the community is demonstrated by ownership, uniformed personnel and the Front Office. From serving seniors at Senior Community Centers, to personal contributions through the United Way, to sitting on charitable boards and volunteering for local charities, the Padres family is involved in making a difference.
Every Sunday home game at PETCO Park is "PETCO Pet Adoption Day." PETCO and the Padres partner with local San Diego County animal shelters to feature a "Pet of the Week" at the ballpark in the hopes of finding it a loving home. On Sundays, fans can meet the Pet of the Week at the PETCO Pet Adoption booth set up in the "Power Alley" in right field adjacent to Park at the Park.
The San Diego Padres and its contracted partners, in collaboration and cooperation with Major League Baseball and Federal, State and local governmental agencies, are committed to the development, implementation and execution of the Green Initiative for PETCO Park. The Green Initiative is a comprehensive, proactive plan to save energy, encourage fans to recycle, and manage waste, including the recycling of landscape and food waste. The goal is to operate the ballpark and its ancillary facilities in an environmentally friendly manner unequaled by any other facility of its type.
