What is the World Baseball Classic?
It is the world's premier international baseball tournament. It is held every four years and features the game's best players competing for their home countries and territories. Many of Major League Baseball's top players will compete in the 2013 World Basic Classic. The World Baseball Classic is to baseball what the World Cup is to soccer.

Who runs the World Baseball Classic and when did it start?
It was established in 2005 by Major League Baseball and the Major League Baseball Players Association. The first two tournaments were held in 2006 and 2009.

Why did the Giants want to host the World Baseball Classic?
We are excited to provide our fans and the City of San Francisco with the opportunity to watch the best players from throughout the world compete in baseball's premier international tournament.

Who participates in the 2013 World Baseball Classic?
28 teams were eligible to participate in the 2013 World Baseball Classic. The tournament field has been narrowed to the following 16 teams: Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, Chinese Taipei, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Italy, Japan, Korea, Mexico, Netherlands, Puerto Rico, Spain, USA and Venezuela.

How is AT&T Park involved in the World Baseball Classic?
AT&T Park will be the site of the final, "Championship Round" of the 2013 World Baseball Classic featuring four teams and will include two semi-final games and the final game of the tournament.

When will the World Baseball Classic be played at AT&T Park?
The "Championship Round" will be played at AT&T Park from March 17-19, 2013

How do these games affect the Spring Training schedule?
Spring Training games and World Baseball Classic games will occur simultaneously with MLB players leaving Spring Training as needed to represent their country on a team participating in the Classic.

How will tickets to the World Baseball Classic at AT&T Park be made available to Giants fans?
Just like post-season and other MLB jewel events (All Star Game, World Series), Giants Season Ticket Members will be given the first priority to purchase their same seats for the Championship Round of games played at AT&T Park.

Will tickets be sold for individual games or as a strip?
Tickets to the three AT&T Park games will be available to Season Ticket Members in a strip.

If I am a Season Ticket Member and do not purchase my tickets when they are first released, will I be able to buy tickets at a later date?
We anticipate that there will be a limited number of tickets made available for sale to the general public. However, unlike the Season Ticket Member tickets, these general public tickets will be dynamically priced.
