Spring Training Ballpark

Sarasota Sports Complex

In 2010 the Orioles will train at the Sarasota County Sports Complex for the inaugural season.

Ed Smith Stadium and the surrounding complex is owned by the Sarasota County and offers a wide variety of available space. The complex consists of four Major League training fields, a practice infield and covered batting tunnels. The stadium itself has a seating capacity of 7,500, and surrounding parking areas can accommodate 2,000 cars. Ed Smith Stadium has 6,500 armchair seats and 1,000 bleacher seats. The Orioles moved their Spring Training operations to Sarasota in 2010 from Fort Lauderdale Stadium.
