Chief Business Officer
JEFF COGEN was named chief business officer in December 2015 and brings more than 30 years of experience in the sports and entertainment industry to the Tampa Bay Rays.
In his role, he oversees ticket sales and service, corporate partnerships, marketing and creative services. He works under the direction of the president and alongside both senior vice presidents.
Prior to joining the Rays, Cogen was CEO of the Nashville Predators and Bridgestone Arena.
Previously, Cogen served as president of both the Dallas Stars (2007-10) and Texas Rangers (2004-07) after previously working under the Hicks Sports Group umbrella from 1993-2001.
The Newport News, Va. native began his career with Ringling Bros. and Barnum and Bailey Shows in 1979.
Cogen earned his bachelor's degree from Old Dominion University. He currently serves on the board of directors for the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Tampa Bay and the American Heart Association, Tampa Bay.
He and his wife, Jill, reside in St. Petersburg with their dogs, DJ and Charlie. They have three grown children.
