Jim Price

A member of the Tigers 1968 World Series champions, Jim Price begins his 15th season overall on Tigers broadcasts and his ninth full season on the Tigers Radio Network.
Originally joined Frank Beckmann on the Tigers radio broadcasts in June, 1998
...had spent the first part of that season as a feature reporter on FOX Sports Nets
pre-game and "Tigers Weekly" programs.
Began his Tigers broadcasting career on PASS cable telecasts in 1993, serving
as color commentator...broadcast Tigers games on cable for five seasons.
Was also the third man in the booth during the Tigers over-the-air broadcasts on
WKBD-TV from 1995-97...filled in for a handful of games as play-by-play announcer in 1997.
Played five major league seasons, all with the Tigers...played 64 games, 42 of them at catcher, for the 1968
team that defeated St. Louis in the Fall Classic.
Was purchased by the Tigers in April of 1967 after seven minor league seasons with the Pirates.
Named Minor League Player of the Year in 1963 while with the Pittsburgh Pirates organization.
A native of Harrisburg, PA, he was a three-sport star at Hershey (PA) High School...refused a number of college
football scholarship offers to sign with the Pittsburgh Pirates in 1960.
Other broadcast credits include work as play-by-play man on Chicago White Sox cable telecasts, color
commentary for ESPN college baseball and anchoring weekend sports on Detroits WJBK-TV.
Assists in the Tigers front office efforts, focusing on baseball participation camps.
Inducted into the Kinston (NC) Baseball Hall of Fame in 1995.
He and his wife, Lisa, founded a non-profit foundation called Jacks Place in October of 2002 to benefit children
with autism...the foundation, named after their son who was diagnosed with autism, hopes to provide all the
services a person or family affected by the neurological disorder would need.
Because of the tremendous community and corporate support, the foundation's five-year plan was reached
in a little over a year...Jack's Place has also formed a partnership with Oakland University in Rochester,
Michigan...this partnership enables Jacks Place to deliver programming and services to individuals and families
with the Autism Spectrum Disorder, including soccer, basketball, swimming, baseball, arts and theater...programs
also include family counseling, sibling groups, social skills groups, seminars and training sessions for parents,
caregivers, physicians, teachers and counselors...over 3,200 children and adults have participated in the
program...the foundation is working to build their own 55,000 square foot building on the campus of Oakland
University that will house "Quality of Life" programs, the first of its kind in the country.
Dan Dickerson

After making his Tigers broadcasting debut in 2000, veteran Michigan sports
announcer Dan Dickerson returns for his eighth season in the booth and his fifth
season as the lead play-by-play voice of the Tigers.
Named Michigan Sportscaster of the Year in 2005 and 2006 by the National
Sportscasters and Sportswriters Association.
Dickerson previously worked for five years with former Tigers flagship WJR-AM, in
a variety of roles.
Served as co-host of "WJR Sportswrap," a nightly call-in show.
Worked as sideline reporter and substitute play-by-play announcer for University of
Michigan football for WJR and spent two seasons as play-by-play announcer for
University of Michigan basketball...was formerly WJRs morning sports anchor.
Spent six-and-a-half years with Detroits WWJ-AM from 1988-95, hosting a post-game call-in show following
Detroit Lions broadcasts and serving as a sideline reporter for University of Michigan football.
Also anchored WWJs news and sports on the weekends and served as general assignment news reporter.
Has won several awards from the Associated Press including "Best Live Broadcast, Sporting Event" (1996 and
1998) and "Best Coverage of Breaking News" and "Best Sports Feature" (1994).
Began his sports broadcasting career at WCUZ Radio in Grand Rapids, MI, working at the station from 1982-88.
Broadcast play-by-play for high school football and basketball for WCUZ, anchored afternoon drive sports and
served in the stations news department as reporter and assignment editor/assistant news director.
Started in radio in 1980 with WMAX radio in Grand Rapids, covering general assignment news and anchoring after
noon newscasts.
Earned his bachelor of arts degree from Ohio Wesleyan University in 1980.
Resides in Clarkston, MI with wife Lori and children Rachel (1/13/95) and Justin (4/9/98).
Co-host of "Tigertown," a weekly off-season talk show on WXYT that focuses on Tigers news and baseball
hot stove topics.
Rod Allen

Former Tigers outfielder Rod Allen enters his fifth season as analyst on FSN Detroit's
telecasts, marking his 30th season in professional baseball...Allen was the recipient
of his own Michigan Emmy in June 2006 in the "Sports Analyst" category.
Allen provided studio and on-location analysis throughout FSNs postgame
coverage during the Tigers playoff run in 2006.
In addition to his FSN Detroit analyst duties, Allen filled that role for a FOX
Saturday Game of the Week regional telecast on July 22, 2006 featuring the Detroit
Tigers and Oakland Athletics.
Before joining the Tigers, he spent five seasons (1998-2002) with the Arizona
Diamondbacks as a television and radio analyst...served as the commentator on the Diamondbacks radio
broadcasts in the 2001 post-season, including the National League Championship series against the St. Louis
Cardinals and the World Series against the New York Yankees.
In addition to his work with the Diamondbacks, Allen provided analysis on Fox Saturday Baseball regional
telecasts and the National League Division Series between the Atlanta Braves and Houston Astros.
Prior to his work as a broadcaster, Allen spent four seasons as a hitting instructor in the Florida Marlins
organization from 1992-95.
Allen spent the last three years of his playing career with Hiroshima in Japan's Central League...clubbed a pair
of home runs against Seibu in the 1991 Japan Series and set a Japanese regular-season record with four home
runs in four consecutive at-bats during his tenure in the league.
Hit .296 in 27 at-bats during a 15-game stint as an outfielder and designated hitter with the World Champion
Detroit Tigers in 1984.
Enjoyed two other stints in the majors with the Seattle Mariners in 1983 and the Cleveland Indians in 1988.
Selected by the Chicago White Sox in the sixth round of the June 1977 draft.
Allen and his wife Adrian have a son, Andrew (17) and a daughter, Rachel (15)...also has a daughter Rhonda
and a son Rod Jr., a 2004 draftee of the New York Yankees, who spent the 2006 season in the Chicago White
Sox organization with Winston-Salem (Single A, Carolina League).
Mario Impemba
Detroit native Mario Impemba enters his sixth season as the play-by-play announcer
on FSN Detroit's Emmy-winning Tigers coverage, including capturing his own
Michigan Emmy in June 2006 in the "Sports Play-by-Play category.
Impemba provided studio and on-location reports, interviews and analysis
throughout FSNs postgame coverage during the Tigers playoff run in 2006.
Beyond his Tigers duties, Impemba has done play-by-play on FSN coverage of
MHSAA football and basketball championship games, as well as CCHA hockey.
Before joining the FSN broadcast team, Impemba spent the previous
seven seasons as the radio voice of the Anaheim Angels...also served as a fill-in
TV play-by-play announcer for the Angels during his final three years in Anaheim.
Was rated among Southern California's best play-by-play announcers in 1999 by the Los Angeles Daily News.
Prior to joining the Angels in 1995, he spent four seasons (1991-94) calling games for the Tucson Toros of the
Pacific Coast League.
Was the voice of the Quad City Angels Single A team in Davenport, IA from 1989-90...spent 1987-88 in Peoria,
IL, where he announced games for the Single A Peoria Chiefs.
Previously served as sports director at WXCL Radio in Peoria...also did play-by-play for the Peoria Rivermen of
the International Hockey League.
Professional career began in 1985 at KVOP Radio in Plainview, TX.
Is a 1985 graduate of Michigan State where as a student he served as sports director at campus radio station
WLFT, also providing play-by-play for Spartans baseball, basketball and hockey.
Is 44 years old...born in Detroit and moved to nearby Sterling Heights in the mid-1970s, graduating from
Stevenson High School in 1981.
Impemba and his wife Cathy have two sons, Brett (13) and Daniel (10) and reside in Macomb County.
