Full Name: Glenn Patrick Sherlock
Title: Bullpen Coach

Bio:
Enters his 28th year in professional baseball in 2009 and is the only member of the D-backs coaching staff that has been on board since the outset in 1998.

Has been the D-backs bullpen coach since 2005 after serving as a first and third base coach in 2004 and bench coach in 2003...also was the bullpen coach from 1998-2002.

Started the 2004 season as the first base coach, but took over the chores on the third base line after Al Pedrique was named manager.

Spent 10 seasons in the New York Yankees system before joining the D-backs, including serving as the catching instructor in 1992 and 1994-95 in the Bronx.

Played for seven seasons in the Houston Astros and New York Yankees systems before entering the coaching ranks.

Originally signed by the Astros as their 21st pick in the 1983 June draft...set a NY-Penn League record during his first year for double plays by a catcher.

Part of four titles as a player, including his final year in 1989, when he served as player/coach for Albany (AA)...appeared in just one game for Albany.

Went down under to hone his managerial skills in the winter of 1993, leading the Canberra Bushrangers in the Australian Baseball League.

Glenn Patrick Sherlock...Resides in Scottsdale with his wife, Lisa, son, Tim, and daughter, Cara...Tim was a 32nd round selection by the Philadelphia Phillies in June 2005, but chose to attend Duke University...Graduated in 1979 from St. Johns Prep in Danvers, Mass., earning all-state baseball honors while also playing football...Earned a B.A. degree in environmental studies at Rollins College (Winter Park, Fla.), while playing baseball...Honored with the Rollins College Hall of Fame Achievement Award and earned Sunshine State All-Star status...Also played ball for three summers in the Yarmouth-Dennis Cape Cod League...Operates a catchers camp in the Valley during the offseason.
