2012 marks his 6th season as the Red Sox bullpen coach...Named to the post on 11/13/06 ... Has coached or scouted for 7 teams that have reached the World Series, with 5 of those clubs winning titles.. ... Served as a coach for the AL squad at the 2008 All-Star Game at the original Yankee Stadium ... Spent the 2006 campaign as Joe Girardi's bench coach with the Marlins ... Had 3 stints in the Yankees organization...Was the club's Major League catching instructor in 2003-04, a position he also held for the 1996-99 seasons when the team won 3 World Series championships (1996, 1998-99)... Married to Annie...Has a daughter, Shelby. Did post-graduate work at Arizona State and Notre Dame. Earned a bachelor's degree in physical education from Indiana University in 1979, where he also played football...In 1972, was nominated to the U.S. Military Academy at West Point.
