Enters his second season as the Tigers bullpen coach after being named to the position on Nov. 18, 2013.

• Prior to joining the Tigers, he spent one season as the Phillies catching coach.

• Spent four seasons (2009-12) as the Phillies bullpen coach following five seasons as the team's Major League catching instructor (2004-08).

• Served as a coach at both the 2009 and 2010 All-Star Games...Accompanied Chase Utley and Jim Thome to the 2004 and 2008 All-Star Games, where he threw BP during the Home Run Derby.

• Joined the Phillies organization as the Minor League catching coordinator in 2000, a position he held through the 2003 season.

• Served as the Angels bullpen/workout coordinator from 1994-99.

• Selected by the Orioles in the second round of the 1985 Draft...Played 10 seasons at the Minor League level with the Orioles, Rangers and Angels organizations.

• Participated in the Tigers Winter Caravan and TigerFest...Actively participates in the Detroit Tigers Autographed Memorabilia Program and attended Keeping Kids in the Game.

• Attended North Carolina State University and resides in Hagerstown, Maryland, during the offseason.
