Coaching Career
- Frank Menechino enters second year as Marlins' hitting coach, marking first career Major League coaching assignment.
- In first season, Miami's run total improved from 513 in 2013 to 645 in 2014
- Marlins hitters also raised team average from .231 to .253. Miami ranked sixth among National League offenses in on-base percentage (.317), and seventh in runs and average.
- Spent previous five seasons in New York Yankees' system, with last three as a coach for Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.

Playing Career

- Made two appearances as pitcher, last on August 28, 2004, while with Toronto. Was just fourth Blue Jays position player in team history to make appearance as pitcher. Allowed two hits in 0.1 innings against the Yankees.
- Tossed 1.0 inning on July 18, 2000 at Coors Field, allowing four runs on six hits.
- Played 18 games with Nettuno in Italian Baseball League in 2008 and appeared for Team Italy during 2006 World Baseball Classic.
