COACHING CAREER
2013 is his 5th season as the major league bullpen
catcher. Served as a batting practice pitcher for the 2010 All-Star
Home Run Derby, 7/12 at Angel Stadium. Joined the Phillies in 2008 as a coach for the Venezuelan
Summer League (R). Was a minor league coach for CWS (1995-99) and NYM
(2000-07).
PLAYING CAREER
Former catcher spent 3 seasons (1980-81, 1983) in PIT's
minor league system. Played for Magallanes of the Venezuelan Winter League.
