Scott enters his 19th season as the Rays bullpen catcher, his 21st in professional baseball. He spent three seasons as bullpen catcher for the Orlando Cubs and Orlando Rays of the Southern League from 1996-98. In addition to his catching duties, he serves as a batting practice pitcher.Cursi, 46, played baseball at Seminole (Fla.) Community College and graduated from the University of Central Florida with a degree in physical education. Before his move to Florida, he spent four years as a coach for Bishop Watterson High School in Columbus, Ohio, under local legend Scott Manahan.Cursi umpires in the offseason for Northwest Little League in Pinellas County.
