Baseball Equipment Drive In partnership with the Baseball Tomorrow Fund
The Nationals will collect new or gently used baseball and softball equipment as part of the annual Baseball Equipment Drive on Sunday, June 3, when they take on the Atlanta Braves. This year's equipment drive will benefit D.C. Public Schools and D.C. Parks and Recreation. Additionally, The Baseball Tomorrow Fund will provide the D.C. Parks and Recreation with a $5,000 grant to purchase new equipment.
June 30:
Blood Drive #1
In partnership with Inova Health SystemThe Nationals will host two blood drives during the 2012 season. Fans who help save a life by donating blood will receive two tickets to a Nationals home game and a special promotional item.
Harris Teeter Food Drive In partnership with the Capital Area Food Bank
The Nationals will collect non-perishable food items for the annual Harris Teeter Food Drive during their weekend series vs. the Colorado Rockies. All items collected will benefit the Capital Area Food Bank, which distributes 20 million pounds of food to more than 700 partner agencies each year.
July 20-22:
Christmas in July Toy Drive In partnership with the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve and the Toys For Tots Foundation
Fans may donate new, unwrapped toys when the Nationals host the annual Christmas in July Toy Drive during the weekend series against the Atlanta Braves. The toys collected will be distributed to nonprofit organizations and hospital pediatric wards in the D.C. area.
Back to School Drive
The annual Back-to-School Drive will take place during the weekend series against the New York Mets. Fans may donate new school supplies to benefit local schools.
