Round 1 is double elimination.
The winners & runner-ups from Pool A & B advance to Pool 1 (Round 2).
The winners & runner-ups from Pool C & D advance to Pool 2 (Round 2).

Round 2 is double elimination. The first two teams from each pool to lose twice will be eliminated. The remaining teams advance.
Semifinals
Single elimination. In the Semifinals, Pool 2 winner will play Pool 1 runner-up and Pool 1 winner will play Pool 2 runner-up.
Finals
One game to decide the 2009 Champion.

How To Play

1. Fill out the entire tournament bracket to the left.

2. Pick the countries you think will advance to each round of the World Baseball Classic, as well as the overall winner of the World Baseball Classic.

3. Choose your answers to two tiebreaker questions and enter your information, then click "Submit."

4. The contest locks at 4:30 AM ET on March 5, 2009.

5. Pick the most winners for your chance to win one (1) game-used base from the World Baseball Classic Finals. Five runner-ups will each win one (1) authentic game-used ball from the World Baseball Classic Finals. See Official Rules for details.

 

Rules

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. Open to legal residents of the fifty (50) United States and Washington DC (excluding residents of Louisiana) and Canada (excluding residents of the Province of Quebec) who are 18 or older as of the date of entry with a valid Internet e-mail address as of March 2, 2009. The Contest begins on March 2, 2009 and ends on March 5, 2009. See Official Rules for details. Void where prohibited.
