Recovering righty won't represent Team Canada in tourney

Teams must set final rosters of 28 players -- including a mandatory 13 pitchers -- by Feb. 24.
Harden also missed the inaugural Classic in 2006 because of injury. He certainly could have helped Team Canada, which will play first-round games in Toronto against a pool of teams that includes the U.S., Venezuela and Italy. In a 2008 season split between the A's and Cubs, Harden was 10-2 with a 2.07 ERA in 25 starts. He was 5-1 with a 1.77 ERA in 12 starts after he was acquired by Chicago from Oakland at midseason.
