The 2012 HotelPlanner.com National Youth Baseball Championships (NYBC), marks the NYBC's Fifth Anniversary. The event was founded by Eddie Einhorn, vice-chairman and co-owner of the Chicago White Sox. Einhorn wanted to create an opportunity for the champions of eight youth baseball organizations - "the Best of the Best" - to play for a true national championship. Bringing together eight "friendly rivals" wasn't an easy task, but Einhorn's determination, combined with his prominence among key figures in professional and amateur sports, as well as in broadcasting, prevailed. The first National Youth Baseball Championships, held in 2008, was recognized by the editors of Sports Travel magazine as the nation's best new sports event. The annual event is hosted by Gameday Baseball's First Tennessee Fields in Memphis and "Game on in Memphis" is now the goal of youth baseball teams throughout the U.S.
