In the win, SS Hunter Lee (1-for-3), 3b Forrest Wall (3-for-3) and RF Jordan Parnell (2-for-2) each had three RBI while LF Noah Dyals (1-for2) had two. Parnell was named the Tournament's Most Valuable Player.
To reach the championship game, the Juice 12's had to overcome deficits of 3-1 and 4-3 in the bottom of the sixth and ninth innings of the semi-final round to earn a 5-4, extra-inning "walk-off" win over the Norwalk (CA) Stingrays of USSSA.
The "National Youth Baseball Championships" is the initial effort of the "Major Youth Baseball Alliance, LLC." The MYBA is a newly formed company comprised of eight major youth organizations, including AABC (American Amateur Baseball Congress), AAU (Amateur Athletic Union of the United States), Babe Ruth Baseball, Dixie Youth Baseball, NABF (National Amateur Baseball Federation), PONY Baseball, Super Series Baseball of America and USSSA (United States Specialty Sports Association).
The four-day tournament is being played at Gameday Baseball's First Tennessee Fields in Memphis.
Tomateros de California (USSSA) from Paramount, California, was crowned the tournament's first ever 10-and-under champion on Saturday, defeating Orlando's Juice 10's (AAU), 7-6.
